Singularity wins Capita Swordfish deal

Singularity Also Increases Customer Base by a Third

Derry-based software firm Singularity has won a large six-figure deal with Capita Total Document Solutions to integrate their technology with the Swordfish Document Management system. The combined offering will be used to automate high-volume document management and call centre activities for Capita's insurance business process outsourcing unit, Capita Life and Pensions. Singularity was selected after a rigorous competitive tendering process. The deal is the latest in a series of major contracts announced by Singularity, and comes on foot of the company reporting that its customer base has increased by a third in 2007.

With increasingly demanding requirements in the insurance industry, Capita Total Document Solutions sought a partner who could manage complex business processes while complementing the functionality of their Swordfish document management system. Capita Total Document Solutions chose Singularity as a “Best of Breed” supplier after an extensive competitive selection process. The new solution will provide the customer with a fast, effective and accurate way of handling documents and enquiries, from initial scanning to storage of written forms and contracts.
