Singularity wins Business Excellence Award

Software firm Singularity has won the Business Excellence Award at this year's Invest Northern Ireland Innovation & Export Awards 2009. The award was made in recognition of the company's outstanding achievements in export growth, financial management, innovation and market leadership.  The award committee evaluated factors including corporate vision, competitive strategy, export market success and corporate responsibility.

The award ceremony took place on Wednesday night at the BBC Blackstaff Studios, Belfast and was attended by senior representatives of major businesses, banks and government agencies in Northern Ireland. This is the third major award won by Singularity in the last 6 months, following on from the Irish Software Association's Sales Achievement Award and the Deloitte Fast 50 Ireland award.

Singularity, a specialist in Business Process Management software, was founded in 1994 in Derry, Northern Ireland and is now a multi-million dollar operation with offices in Belfast, New York, London, Singapore and Hyderabad. The high tech firm has experienced continuous rapid annual growth in revenue and profitability since it was established.

Other awards presented on the night included Best New Innovation Award, Innovator of the Year Award, Best Emerging Exporter Award and Exporter of the Year Award.
