Former BT Chief Scientist Joins Singularity

Derry, Northern Ireland – April 2008

Dr Sinclair Stockman, former Chief Scientist and Chief Information Officer at BT, has joined Singularity as Chief Industry Analyst for the Telecommunications Division. Dr. Stockman has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications sector, working at the highest levels in the industry.  Drawing on this expertise, Dr. Stockman will drive telecommunications product strategy for Singularity, a leading business process management (BPM) software vendor

As BT's Chief Information Office from 2000 to 2004, Dr. Stockman had overall responsibility for leading BT's Information Systems strategy, spearheading many high-profile initiatives including the delivery of BT's first broadband systems. In 2006, moving on from his role as President of Network and Systems at BT Global Services Dr. Stockman was appointed Chief Scientist at BT, responsible for increasing BT's innovation capability in the field of Networked IT platforms, services and products.  In this role he helped define and lead world-class benchmarks for all work within the BT Group. Dr. Stockman also led BT's Microsoft Challenge and Accelerator Cups.

Dr. Stockman is a graduate of Oxford University, and holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.
